Play-off run Oley ends, Hamburg wins 5-3. The Reds came out the blocks fast scoring 3 in the first of Koenig, single, triple (Specht), double (Frick), single and the Lynx ran behind the facts the rest of the night. Hamburg added another run in the 2^nd when first Wolf walked got to 2^nd on a wild pitch and scored on Ruppert’s single. Pisker doubled in the 2^nd Hartman drove him across the plate on another double and  for Oley and after a prefect bunt by Matt Rogosky Evyn Seyler scored the Lynx 2^nd run. Frick pitched himself out of a bases loaded 4^th and only let Eddinger score on another hit by Pisker to make it 4-3. Hamburg answered in the 6^th as Negron scored on an error by Oley’s shortstop Koenig. In the 6^th The Lynx got another chance but again Frick pitched himself out of another bases loaded situation with one out. In the 7^th inning Frick shut the Lynx down and pitched a complete 7 inning game striking out 5 with the help Hamburg solid defense that not made a mistake the whole night.

The jump to the Berks/Schuylkill Valley American Legion Baseball League has rejunvinated the Oley Valley legion program. Not only did the Lynx make the playoffs, they qualified for a home game in the first round of the league tournament.

The Lynx host Hamburg Thursday at 5:30 at the Legion Field. The Lynx face Hamburg twice this year in a win in a non league game 4-1  and a bitter 6-5 loss during the regular season after leading 5-0.

Oley beat Wyomissing 7-2. The Lynx scored 1 runs in the 1^st on a double by James Pisker. Vroman gave another solid performance and held Wyomissing blank for 5 innings striking out 4. Oley added 3 runs in the 4^th on single by Eddinger and a balk by Wyomissing’s pitcher Moore. Wyomissing got 2 runs of Vroman in the 6^th but with the bases loaded James Pisker came in to pitch for Vroman with one out and struck out the next 2 batters. In the bottom of the 6^th Oley added more runs on a double by Jake Seyler. Pisker closed the game out for the Lynx and shut the door on Wyomissing. We played a lot better than yesterday said head-coach Fred van Gulik after the game. Vroman performed well again and the way Pisker came in an shut the door with bases loaded shows how much spirit this team has. Yesterday was i think our worst game of the season, hey we are still alive and tomorrow is another day.

The Lynx will face Wyomissing in the second round of the play-off’s. After losing to the Titans the Lynx have to beat Wyomissing to stay in the play-off’s

JR Legion Oley pounded out 16 hits to defeat Sch Valley 12-9.  Sch Valey jumped out early with 6 runs in the first but the Lynx managed to take a 7-6 lead after 2 innings.  Oley did most of their damage with 2 outs, scoring a total of 9 runs in the game when there were 2 outs.
